View From The Old Bridge
The Susquehanna River between the towns of Columbia and Wrightsville, PA has been the site of several bridges, one with historical significance for being burned during the Civil War.
This photo was taken from the Veterans Memorial Bridge, c.1930, (Rt. 462 )looking at the modern bridge (Rt. 30) in the background, and an overgrown stone pier from the Civil War era bridge in the foreground.
