Alarmed by global climate change and frequent dramatic weather events, I’ve been working on a series of weather-related quilts. Partly Cloudy depicts my ideal-- a quiet, calm summer day, with garden plants flourishing under sunny skies and passing clouds.
Materials: artist-painted and commercial silk fabrics
Techniques: wet process cyanotype, monoprints, hand-stitched patchwork, stitching
