Fever Dream
The past several years have been like experiencing a fugue state, combining fear and anxiety with isolation and boredom. I worked through it with fevered print making, using botanical materials close at hand, and by spending many hours hand-stitching hexagons. I combined it all to make a bright, cheerful quilt, because we need beauty and joy in our lives.
Materials: artist-painted and commercial cotton, silk, and wool fabric
Techniques: wet process cyanotype/solar dye, hand piecing, monoprint, stamping, stitching
