My travels in India inspired me to work with tropical foliage. The white ginger butterfly lily, Hedychium coronarium, is native to India and widely grown as an ornamental. I've combined the cyanotype imagery with the incredibly rich and lustrous silks woven in Mysore state and brought back from my adventures and those of family members.
Cyanotype on silk, Indian silks, machine stitching.
